How to Measure at Home
Tools needed: A ruler with millimeter markings (do not use a tape measure) and your current glasses (if you have them).
Step 1 — Lens Width
Place the ruler horizontally across the widest part of the lens and measure from the left edge to the right edge. Measure in millimeters.
Step 2 — Bridge Width
Measure the distance between the two lenses—from the inner edge of one lens to the inner edge of the other.
Step 3 — Temple Length
Fully extend the temple arm. Measure from the screw (where the temple connects to the frame) to the tip of the temple.
Step 4 — Total Frame Width
Measure the total width of the frame front, from the outermost point on the left to the outermost point on the right.
Tips
The total frame width should roughly match the width of your face at the temples.
If your glasses leave indentations on the bridge of your nose, the bridge width may be too narrow.
If the temples pinch or hurt behind your ears, choose a longer temple size.
If you are unsure, refer to a pair of glasses that fits comfortably—measure that frame and look for styles with similar dimensions.
